COVID-19 UPDATE

Should the need arise to call Fire/Rescue for a medical emergency, the Department of Emergency Services urges everyone to answer the screening questions truthfully and to not withhold any information that could help determine possible infection with COVID-19. These questions are designed to protect all first responders, emergency room staff and the general public. If it is determined that a patient is possibly infected, Fire/Rescue personnel can take the appropriate precautions to protect themselves and emergency department personnel. We want to ensure the public that all patients with suspected COVID-19 infection will be treated and/or transported to the hospital for appropriate care.

The Florida Department of Health has established a dedicated coronavirus call center at 1-866-779-6121 that is available 24 hours a day seven days a week, as well as a dedicated email address at COVID-19@flhealth.gov which the public can use for questions or clarifications on issues related to the coronavirus.

If you feel you are experiencing signs and symptoms of COVID-19, contact the Palm Beach County Department of Health at 561-840-4500.
