Town of Palm Beach Shores

Message from the PBS Police Dept. - Be on the Alert

October 31, 2017

Hello Palm Beach Shores,

We need your help.

If you see a black pickup truck with a possible Florida tag: I9EDY, please call Police Dispatch (561-844-3456) immediately.

We believe there are 2 individuals, traveling in that vehicle, who are stealing from homes.  The two suspects involved are described as:

  • 5’ 9” with a small build and light facial hair,

  • 6’1”, about 300 pounds, also with light facial hair and glasses.

These individuals claim that they work for FPL or the Water Department.  They gain entry and while one distracts the resident, the other one steals from us. This is similar to the push in/distraction theft on Claremont Lane earlier this year.  Riviera Beach Police are investigating similar incidents and have asked us to assist them in locating the suspects.

All true FPL and Riviera Beach Water District employees have photo identification and uniforms.  They should never need access inside your home.

If you spot these suspects or anyone who make you uncomfortable, call us immediately.  We will be there quickly to ensure they are who they say they are.  Please call immediately rather than waiting.

As usual we appreciate your help.  We are a phone call away.
