Brief Update on Town Activities

View this email in your browser

There is so much going on in Town that we needed an extra edition of my resident update this month.

Platner Appreciation

Please join us at 2PM on Friday, April 14 in front of the Community Center.  We will be dedicating a plaque in appreciation of the decades of good service to our town by Barb and Chuck Platner.

Shred Your Documents

Thank you to Debi Culotta and Fast Close Realty for sponsoring a Shred Truck in the Town parking lot on Wednesday, April 19 from 10AM – Noon.  Free for all Town residents.

Dogs on the Beach

The Commission will be taking up the question of what to do about dogs on the Town Beach at the Monday, April 17 Commission meeting.   Currently, dogs are prohibited but the ban is routinely ignored.  We can either start to aggressively enforce the ban or go the other way and start to allow it.  One proposal is to allow dogs only outside of the lifeguard hours.  This should keep them off the beach during the busy times of the day.  What do you think?  Please let your Commissioners know your thoughts.

Gateway Project

The developer for the Singer Island Gateway project will be presenting their project plan at Monday’s Commission meeting.  This will replace the dilapidated Singer Island Yacht Club at the corner of Blue Heron and Lake.  The project has been approved by Riviera Beach and this is our chance to learn more about it.

Upcoming Events

I don't have to remind you that the Easter Egg Hunt is this Saturday at 11 AM on the Parkway.    And the Beach Cleanup is the following Saturday April 22 from 8:00 - 9:30AM at the Beach Tiki.  Free Tee shirts and good karma for participants.    See you there.

Your Mayor, Myra
