Community Risk Reduction Programs

File of Life

The Palm Beach Shores Fire Department is proud to announce the implementation of its newest

Community Risk Reduction Program.

The File of Life program was created in 1995 to assist First Responders in accessing vital patient information

within seconds of arrival to medical emergencies.

“Almost 5,000 communities across the United States have implemented a File of Life program.

Our product is in 18 million homes nationwide with 900,000 being distributed last year alone.

Within 21 years, we have gained the support of national and state civic organizations

such as the American Red Cross,

the National Council on Aging (N.C.O.A.) and AARP”. – File of Life.

The Town of Palm Beach Shores and the Palm Beach Shores Fire Department are offering the program

materials to our residents free of charge.

The materials, which include a window sticker and a magnetic refrigerator pouch with a

medical information card,

may be picked up at Town Hall, Monday – Friday during regular business hours.

For more information, feel free to contact Chief Steedman at (561) 296-3380 or

visit the File of Life website at http://www.folife.org/
