Seasiders Charity Organization

THE Seasiders
The Seasiders was formed in 1951 by a group of 5 women “to promote the spirit of
service and friendship among its members and to stimulate interest” in Palm Beach Shores.  The Seasiders raise funds for philanthropic causes and more than $220,000 has been raised over the past 67 years.  The Seasiders, limited to women who are Palm Beach Shores residents (full-time or part-time) are non-political and non-profit.

The Seasiders are active from October to May of each year.  Every February, The Seasiders host a two day bazaar at the Palm Beach Shores Community Center. The bazaar features everything - clothing, jewelry, books, tools, household items -from ‘trash to treasures.’  All funds go to local charitable organizations.

On the first Thursday from October to May, the Seasiders host a luncheon with a guest speaker. Programs and activities presented at the luncheons are educational and informative.

The Seasiders also have four sub-groups:  Community Service, Four Arts, Home and Garden and Social.
Community Service meets on the 2, 3rd, and 4th Thursday of each month and plans the annual bazaar.  Members work on projects to be sold at the bazaar or donated to charitable organizations.  Community outreach is promoted.
Four Arts arrange group trips to plays and other cultural and historical destinations in Palm Beach County.
Home and Garden  plan local tours of homes and gardens.
Social Group plans a monthly meeting to play bridge, mahjongg and other card games.

Special events during the year are the Annual Holiday Tea and Cookie Exchange, Holi-day Market, Taster’s Lunch and Pizza Party.  A Book Club meets monthly to discuss current fiction and non-fiction works.

If you are a woman and a resident of Palm Beach Shores (full- time or part-time)  please join us at Community Service on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Thursday of each month - October to May - at Palm Beach Shores Town Hall.
