St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee

The Idea for a St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Celebration for Palm Beach Shores was born in the late 1980's after a group from Singer Island went by chartered bus, arranged by winter resident Bill Kelly, to the Lake Worth Parade and joined in the march.  So much fun was had we decided we needed one of our own.  The following year,  1990, with the leadership of 8 – 10 residents, we had our First Ever Annual Palm Beach Shores Parade. Grand Marshal, Mickey O’Brien, rode in a decorated Golf Cart with one Float, designated “THE FLOAT” which was a Leprechaun in a baby buggy! The Parade was over in about 15 minutes…..
The Parade has evolved over the years to include Pipe Bands, Floats and our very unique Mummers Marchers. We are proud, now going in to the 22nd Annual Event to be able to support and contribute to local organizations and charities with the money we are able to raise each year through various fundraisers!  A great time is always had by all!!
