Mayor Myra Koutzen
Myra Koutzen has been vacationing in Palm Beach Shores since the 1980s and became a resident in 2004. She owns an apartment in Mayan Towers South where she serves on the Board.
Myra has a BA in Theater Management from Binghamton University and an MBA from Fordham University in Marketing and Finance.
In her business career, Myra traveled the world as a lighting designer, stage manager and dance company manager while in her 20s. She later changed fields and worked her way up the corporate ladder in areas such as sports marketing, product management and new product development.
Myra plans to use her management and financial analysis skills to benefit the town, its employees and residents.
Patricia O'Hara - Vice Mayor
Graduating with a degree in Art History, Pat worked in the fields of Porcelain Decoration in New Jersey and Art Restoration in NYC, before moving to PBS with her husband Larry. They had been visiting here since 1989, when 3 feet of snow in NJ brought them to “Paradise” full time in 1997.
She volunteered for the Property Owners Association, served as the resident member of the Developmental Review Committee, as well as one of the 5 members of the Charter Review Committee before volunteering to fill an unexpired seat on the commission. On a lighter note, Pat spearheaded the cookbook for the 50th Anniversary of Palm Beach Shores in 2001.
She has been a member of the International Women’s Fishing Association since 1997 and volunteered with her Therapy Dog, Charlee at Jupiter Medical Center, St. Mary’s Children’s Hospital and the 15th Circuit Juvenile Court. Her current golden, Scarlett is also a Therapy Dog.
Some residents might know Pat as one of the residents responsible for the “Lighting of the Palms” and “Movie Night” on Claremont Lane
Lisa Tropepe - Commissioner
Lisa Tropepe was born in Brooklyn, New York. She moved with her family to Broward County in 1978 until her ultimate move to Palm Beach Shores in August, 1997. Lisa received two Civil Engineering degrees from the University of Miami in 1987 and became a Licensed Civil Engineer in Florida in 1992.
In 2001, Lisa became a partner in the firm now known as Engenuity Group, Inc., located in West Palm Beach. Also in 2001, the firm, with Lisa as the lead, became one of three consulting firms for the town of Palm Beach Shores. She is credited for designing the road narrowing and sidewalk improvements around the town's perimeter right-of-way.
Lisa became a Commissioner in October of 2003 and has added a more technical perspective to the Commission over the years.
She enjoys yoga, line dancing and of course, walking on the parkway in "The Best Little Town in Florida".
Roby DeReuil - Commissioner
Roby is a long-term resident of Palm Beach Shores. Commissioner DeReuil is currently employed as a Senior Project Manager for a Miami based firm. Roby has served on the Commission in Palm Beach Shores since 2009 and served as Vice Mayor in 2013. Prior to his election as Commissioner, Roby served as a member of the Planning & Zoning Board from 2001-2009. Commissioner DeReuil has a heart for community service, demonstrated by serving as a volunteer firefighter attaining the rank of Lieutenant in Palm Beach Shores. Roby also served as a board member of Communities in School from 1999-2011.
Gil Gilgallon - Commissioner
Gil Gilgallon spent 18 years visiting and wishing he lived in Palm Beach Shores. Two years ago he became a resident. He and his wife, Francine call it “Paradise”.
Gil’s career in the Apparel Business was highlighted by his unique approach to marketing, product presentation, and product development. During his Career he was the President and Marketed Designer Shirts for Yves Saint Laurent, Liz Claiborne and Calvin Klein.
With an interest in real estate, Gil acquired his Community Association Manager’s License and then his Real Estate License. He is a Realtor® with Heath & Joseph Real Estate.
Gil is a tennis player, enjoys the fantastic Palm Beach Shores Beach and can be seen on his early morning runs on the Island.
Gil is about his community. He is currently President of the Board of Directors in Mayan Towers South and Board VP of the Property Owners Association.
